A bomb of infeasible power decimates the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean; a series of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena flicker seemingly in and out of existence, destroying military assets as well as targets of no apparent strategic value. An aircraft carrier vanishes without a trace or evidence of its destruction.

The aliens, identifying themselves only as Sentinel, release their first message in international sign language; avert the destabilization of Earth’s biosphere at all costs, or face unimaginable suffering.

With the world order suddenly undermined by a powerful and evasive extraterrestrial force, a jaded CIA operative is elected by her superiors as a unit leader for an unprecedented international intelligence task force.
